Receive payments
Your payments will come automatically into your Stripe account. You can choose with Stripe how often you want to have payments settled into your bank account. Payouts are every Wednesday.
We Process Payments With
An external payments platform that is highly reputable and ensures a secure and reliable transfer of funds. Payments will be sent directly into your Stripe account minus the sales commission + Stripe fee.
We do not add any Payment processing commission onto the Stripe fee. It is the standard rates which may vary depending on card type and if customers are ordering with a European, UK or non-European card. As such the rate may vary. Their fees are listed on https://stripe.com/ie/pricing but most sales work out with the standard stripe fee of 1.5% + 25c.
We Keep the Rules to a Minimum
Rule 1:
We only allow to list Irish-made products, shipped from the island of Ireland. These must meet all legal and compliance regulations for selling online.
Rule 2:
Special Gifts Ireland reserves the right to remove any product or seller listings which don’t meet the standard or image of its brand.
Rule 3:
Ensure you update stock and can fulfil orders in the time you list. Any refund or quality issues are to be dealt with directly between you the vendor and the customer.
Rule 4:
For protection and respect of the SpecialGifts brand and reputation, do not encourage any SpecialGifts customers to buy from any other website or source for current or future orders. We keep our fees very fair and trust sellers to be fair with us too.
Note about refunds: Special Gifts Ireland understands that refund requests can occur and will refund the Special Gifts commission. However, be mindful that if a refund is processed, Stripe does not refund their payment processing fee and this is a cost you incur.

Lower commission rate
If you promote only your SpecialGifts store link on social media. This is reduced to ensure we are fair with you for bringing customers to this marketplace.

Here are some common questions about selling on SpecialGifts.ie
How do I list products on SpecialGifts.ie?
Joining and starting a shop on SpecialGifts.ie is free. Once you sign up, we add your brand and activate your account to start selling. We will send you an Onboarding guide and help you list your products. When an order comes through, you will receive an email notification with the details so you can log in and manage the order.
How do I get paid?
Payouts are managed through Stripe weekly on Wednesdays. Once an order has been placed, the fund is released after 4 days and will be paid on the following Wednesday.
What do I need to do to create a shop?
It’s easy to set up a shop on Specialgifts.ie. Choose a shop name, create your shop listing and add products, then connect your Stripe or let us know if you prefer bank transfers.
What can I sell on SpecialGifts.ie?
We provide a marketplace for quality products, which are made in Ireland and not mass-produced. If they are commonly found in supermarkets or department stores, they should not be listed here. Ask us if you have any queries. Items which have restrictions for selling online such as cbd are not permitted at this time because Stripe does not support these.
Do I need a credit or debit card to create a shop?
No, a credit or debit card is not required to create a shop.
